In the spirit of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Wheeling Happiness donated wheelchairs to special school students with intellectual as well as mobility impairment. We also provided a wheelchair for Preetam’s mother, who has been carrying her in his arms for the last 20 years since an accident left her immobile.
Poonam, a polio-affected school girl from a small village in Himachal, has been able to walk for the first in 12 years, with the help of callipers, crutches and assistive devices provided by Wheeling Happiness.
We also assist physically challenged persons with modification of vehicles and learning to drive so that they can extend their reach and accessibility.
